Recruiters don’t scroll. A junior dev portfolio is read in 60 seconds. Optimize for that and the work becomes much less daunting.
What goes on the homepage
Name. One-line pitch. Three featured projects. A photo. Links to GitHub and LinkedIn. That’s it.
What the three projects should be
One you can talk about for ten minutes. One that proves you can ship a real product end-to-end. One that shows range (a different stack or domain).
What recruiters secretly look for
Live URLs, clean repos, and a one-paragraph problem statement at the top of each README. The bar is lower than you think.
The bottom line
Ship the portfolio at 70%. You can always polish later. The candidates who get hired are the ones who actually published the link.
